In 2011, Ashkal Alwan launched Home Workspace, a 2000m² multipurpose facility in Beirut dedicated to contemporary artistic practices, research, production and education. Home Workspace provides an array of services and educational platforms, featuring production and editing studios, performance spaces, auditoria, and Lebanon’s first multimedia library for contemporary arts. Hosted within the space and geared towards developing an interdisciplinary approach to arts education in the Arab world, the Home Workspace Program is a tuition-free annual arts study program targeting emerging artists and cultural practitioners wishing to develop their critical skills and practice in a supportive environment in Beirut. The Home Workspace facilities and cafeteria are open to the public Monday to Friday, 10:30am– 6:30pm, excluding public holidays.

في العام ٢٠١١، أطلقت المؤسسة فضاءً جديداً متعدد الوسائط ومساحته ٢٠٠ متر مربع، مكرّس للممارسات الفنية المعاصرة وللبحوث والإنتاج والتعليم. يؤمّن «فضاء أشغال داخلية» باقة من الخدمات والفرص التعليمية، كما يضم محترفات للإنتاج ووحدة مونتاج وفضاءات لعروض الأداء وصالات عرض، إلى جانب مكتبة متعددة الوسائط متخصصة في الفنون المعاصرة، تعد الأولى من نوعها في لبنان.

يحتضن الفضاء «برنامج فضاء أشغال داخلية»، والمعني بتطوير مدخلاً لتعليم الفنون في العالم العربي، عابر للاختصاصات. يستقبل هذا البرنامج الدراسي السنوي المجاني الفنانين الناشئين وغيرهم من العاملين بالحقل الثقافي، الراغبين في تنمية مهاراتهم وممارساتهم النقدية، وذلك في بيئة حاضنة في بيروت.

يفتح «فضاء أشغال داخلية» أبوابه للجمهور أيام الإثنين إلى الجمعة، من ١٠:٣٠ ص وحتى ٦:٣٠ م، باستثناء العطلات الرسمية.
