The research hub and archive is a growing artistic and cultural databank, vidéothèque and library that will house and build on Ashkal Alwan’s collection of documents and media compiled over the past 15 years. The hub will offer open, free and public access to a collection with a focus on contemporary artistic and cultural practices in Lebanon and beyond.
The research hub and archive will provide the general public, students, artists, curators and researchers with an in-depth and diverse collection of information.
The core material will include publications, magazines, books, exhibition catalogs, videos, films, artist portfolios and documentation of exhibitions. Films and videos may be viewed on site.
An online database will be available in the coming months so that researchers may browse and search for the materials available.
The Research Hub and Archive hours are Monday to Friday, 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
